it seems like every month or so I am throwing up a post to try and justify,

1) where the hell I’ve been for the past x period

2) whats my excuse for not taking time to update my own blog

Well to be honest, too much on my plate, not enough cutlery to finish it off. ..

A lot has been happening in my life in the past few months since my last update. All my time has been pretty much devoted to my family, that has some news which I will leave quiet for now , a few small parties here and there, my duties @ ca , chilling with the bbi crew and also hanging out with teamGROUNDzero. Any spare time has been thrown to both my civic and skyline projects.

I’ll be posting up all the stuff I have been up to what will be back dated for continuity, which will mean that soon this post will make zero sense but oh well….

i knew this day would come! Since day zero of owning OLD15H, I knew this day would come. Yet when it came it still fucking sucked. My day started as any week day of mine starts, dreading to wake up to go to my job that is CA, I got ready and started the Skyline up. Waiting for it to warm up I had some tea then finally left to drive to work.

15 minutes into my trip and changing from 2nd into 3rd just became an utter mission. Deciding to push, I drove through Seven Hills and the harder it became to change gears. In 5 minutes it went from annoying to borderline impossible, By now though, I was already getting onto the M2 and was hoping that somehow magically there would be zero traffic on the roads. For the first 2kms it looked promising, then coming up to Winston Hills and what was waiting for me but a massive traffic jam. The car coming to a stop and with a loud ‘clank’ I got it into neutral. I wasn’t ignorant, I knew my car would not be getting any further then here…..

Cars started moving ahead but 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th would not engage at all. By now there were dickheads behind me beeping away, Jamming the car into 3rd and dialling up 4000 rpm I was able to get it to the side of the road. The gearbox was truly….. gone.

Phone calls later and Dilly was able to organise a tow truck for me. Rocking up to work 3 hours late, all that was on my mind was where I can get another box from….

this is one of the first proper fotoshoots that the teamGROUNDzero crew had. After driving down to tony’s and picking him up. Afterwards we met up with Ronnie with his WRX and Dave with his Liberty.

The drive down was pretty cool with the three cars driving down and after no time we were at the Bunnings in Milperra. Jono, Tristian and Duy were waiting for us there along with a guy and a girl. While we hung around and catching up, few of the guys decided to try fixing Tony’s ear piercing.

We lined up and took some shots on the side of the street and even attempted to get some rolling shots with Tony driving OLD15H but sadly the poor lighting resulted in calling it a day.

tonite was a nice chillout at kks in Mascot with some of the teamGROUNDzero crew. The night started off with Fielding driving his newly JDM front converted Integra to my place. Jumping into my Skyline we both cruised down to Protune Engineering in Hurstville to pickup Chris. As per usual once we entered into the M5 tunnel, A few brrahhhhhhhhhh and pssssshhhhhhh’s later we met up with the rest of the TGZ crew that made it to domestic terminal at Mascot.

The turnout, as you can see in the photos below, was great. The Honda’s were represented by Tristian and Tony’s EK civics. Jono brought down his Levin that had recently gotten some carbon treatment. It turned out to be a pretty sweet night with alot of shit talking (Hondata powered plane anyone?) and good times.

After a couple of hours we all called it a night as Fielding and I made it back out west… a few brrahhhhhhhhhh and pssssshhhhhhh’s later……

the first gig

today was the first paid dj gig for ron and metin. It was my neighbour Dana’s birthday so the day started off with ron and metin meeting me at my place so we could get the hall setup. It was pretty convienient for us as the hall was just down the road. Ron’s camry and my skyline were loaded up with all the gear that was needed and we all cruised down to Blacktown Workers club.

Not suprisingly we were able to quickly setup and after a few 1, 2′s and check check’s later we were ready to roll. I was in a dire need for a haircut so started running around trying to find an open barber while ron and metin laid down a few test mixes. 45 minutes later and the hall was locked up so we all needed to get a bite to eat and get ready for the night ahead.

Since the actual dj set was starting later in the evening, metin, ron, jude and myself decided to head down a bit early to get a bite to eat and chill out. After some slices of wood fired pizza, the four of us got ready for the night ahead. The first track was being laid down by metin when the worst thing ever happened, about 80 seconds into the mix and we lost power to all the dj gear… FUCK!

We got everything back up quickly and the mixing continued till late in the evening. Everyone had an awesome time and guys on the dancefloor were getting pretty crazy too!

a while back I went and sussed out a few fotoshoot locations, tonite Jan, Metin and myself decided to go down and grab a few shots of our cars. Jan met me at my house and we both cruised down the M4 to Olympic Park. While we waited on the side of the road, Metin flew past us in his electric blue civic and the three of us went to get some harbourside shots.

Sadly after about 10 minutes, we were kicked out of the first location. The three of us went to a backstreet of an industrial area where we got more shots but were disturbed when some douche on a bike decided to start ripping heli’s….

after a 3 year hiatus, teamGROUNDzero is finally back! That is the main reason why I havn’t been updating my blog as regular as usual as most of my spare time has been spent getting the site, forums and stickers ready. But we are finally back!

my good friend Raiss from canberra was up to pick up his s13.4.5 silvia convertible from 2sus custom resprays today to move it into storage while the next rounds of mods come about. I picked up miles from Quakers and drove down to meet up with Raiss and his brother in greenacre (or what ive realised is a giant car wrecker lol). Last time I saw the car, it was in about 7 different colours (see further down the blog).

I always knew seeing this car all in one colour would really set it off, but what I saw was one of the most amazing car’s I’ve ever seen. It will really turn heads once it comes out!
